About this Garden Plan
2012 will be the first year for this garden. November 8th, 2011 we had the sod removed, 12 yards of mushroom compost blown in, added another thin layer of composted material from the sideyard and had it all tilled under. The 2250 square feet forms the shape of a triangle with a slope down hill, the lowest area at the point. Hard to say condition of soil, looks like there is a lot of clay, it was not completely dry when we were working it but the amendments we have added should set it in the right direction. The corner faces south and has an irrigation system already built in so we will try using them and creating the beds and rows so not to disturb the sprinkler heads.

Plan Notes
Will wait on planting strawberry starts. Will plant asparagus from seed. Will not be surprised about Reimer Heinz and Tendercrisp seeds based on internet reviews. First year will go with one variety for corn. Packard Broccoli was not available this year? so went with Waltham. Will plant Walla Walla from seed and winter storage Copra onion. Will replace pea area with second lettuce planting.
