About this Garden Plan
So far I started my '3 sister's' garden; corn on cob, squash, and pole beans (the squash and beans won't be planted until the corn has grown approx. 4-5"). In between every other corn (approx. 1 1/2') I planted sunflowers to attract hummingbirds to eat any aphids that may try to attack my corn (like last year). Can't wait to see how it turns out :)

March 6, 2013 Used 7 bags of miracle-gro 2 cu ft flower and vegetable garden soil in a 60 sq ft area (6'x10') approx. 6" high Planted sweet corn in 3 rows each 1 1/2' apart and spaced 6" apart in each row Sunflowers were planted 18" apart between every every other corn Soil covered with mulch to keep out weeds and keep soil moist March Pole beans planted 6" away from stalk base to the right of each once they were approx. 4-5" high 4 types of Squash planted around the perimeter to provide shade and keep ground moist
