About this Garden Plan
My goal for this garden is to provide a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs for daily use, and to grow flowers that attract beneficial insects, butterflies and hummingbirds. I prefer to use open-pollinated varieties whenever possible, especially heirloom varieties from North Carolina and the Southeast. Like my garden, this plan is a work in progress, representing plantings in my front-yard raised beds through the spring and summer months. I still need to plan succession crops for late summer and the fall.

Plan Notes
This garden is located in my front yard, and consists of four L-shaped raised beds and a pollinator bed. The "arms" of the L are 12" deep and the corner of each bed is 18" deep; each section is 4' x 4'. The pollinator bed is also 12" deep with a center that is 18" deep. This is my second season with this garden; last year I had only the two top (northernmost) beds and the pollinator bed.
