Plan Notes
I made two 10x10 successive planting beds top left. I tried to keep companions next to one another and they are in order left to right spring summer then fall planting. I made a beneficial habitat garden in the bottom left corner. it attracts butterflies and bees with flowers. It also attracts beneficial insects like lady bugs and lacewings with the dill and hover flies parasitic wasps and tachinid fly with parsley. For my scientific companion garden in the middle. You plant squash around cucumber/watermelon to draw the cucumber beetles and squash bug to the squash before they get to your watermelon or cucumbers. You also spray a light insecticide around the outside border of your trap crop to reduce pests. For the fruit garden I divided that up into a few plots top right is blueberry with its companion cranberries in an acidic bed protected by netting, so birds dont eat them. The other 3 dwarf container fruit trees are in a sealed glass greenhouse for yearlong fruit also it reduces the chance of pests or disease. For these gardens I installed an aquaponic pond in a greenhouse this will be a constant supply of fish and nitrate for plants. also, the pond would be used to fill the rain barrels throughout the garden plan they supply the driplines.
