About this Garden Plan
This is my first attempt at Raised Gardening by the Square Foot. I live in a Zone 3 Area. I will be installing my Drip Irrigation system to ensure adequate and even watering. Soil is NEW Delivered "Veggie Blend" Soil. Back yard faces South and has at least 8-12 hours of Direct Sun. I Have had several gardens in a different area of the Backyard before as well as a LOT of container growing. All seeds that can or should be started will be done under grow lights and hardened off when appropriate. The rest, Carrots etc., that should be direct sowed will be done as soon as Drip irrigation and Temps get better. Mulch will be Shredded Straw where appropriate and Wood shaving or some other mulch in all the other areas. I will be building and installing Trellis made from bamboo canes and chicken wire as needed. Plant Varieties will be updated as soon as I get enough time from the Yard work. ;) All Beds are Built and filled.
